Hello,
If you have found yourself stumbling across this page then welcome to my new blog. This will be my new outlet for every journey I make in my life from now until... well who knows?
I aim to share my travel experiences, my top tips for learning languages, recipes, reviews of music and dramas and anything else I can think of. I hope to bring my love of Korea and my knowledge of London together in a new and unique insight into both countries and cultures.
How did I come up with the name? well London nuna or in Hangul 런던 누나 roughly translates as "big sister from London."
런던 = London
누나 = Nuna, a term males use to address older female friends or blood-related sister in a casual but respectful way, it basically means "big sister."
girls use the word 언니 (eonni) to address older female friends or a blood-related sister.
cultural note: a 누나 (nuna) can be a blood related or not a blood-related female, it is important however not to call an older woman 언니/누나 unless they have expressed it is okay to do so or you are close friends/ actual siblings.
My friend always refers to me as London nuna because I am older than him, I thought it had a certain catchiness to it so I decided to use it as the name of my blog.
